Description
The Bessel beam projector includes an Axicon grating, an adjustable fold mirror for centering the source on the grating axis, and an FC/PC single-mode fiber coupler. A Bessel beam will emanate from the grating once a single-mode fiber is connected to the projector. When the Bessel beam is viewed with an autostigmatic microscope such as the PSM and the reflected beam is centered on the crosshairs, the fold mirror is adjusted to bring the transmitted Bessel beam onto the crosshairs. This assures that the two beams are coaxial and that the transmitted Bessel beam is normal to the center of the Axicon grating pattern.
